5 Places to go for a drink in Stoke-On-Trent
I have been planning to write this post for a while, but kind of decided to wait a bit more to explore more places. As you may know I am a Keele University student, and these are the places I visited and loved around Keele. So if you plan to come around Stoke-on-Trent or if you're a prospective Keele student, this post is for you;
1.tsp - Stoke-on-Trent
tsp is the place to go on a sunny day for a coffee. As it is located just on the corner of the street with huge windows that lets you warm up and escape from the cloudy weather of England. It's minimalistic decoration is also great if you're all about the aesthetics and your instagram feed just like me. You can also check the latest exhibition of the art and potteries Museum after having a coffee or a milkshake. In short great for a day out, especially on a sunny day.
Update From Future; Tsp has transitioned into a home store called by marzipan pig, still owned by same people
2.Cafe Nero -Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Cafe nero is one of the coffee shops that have shops all around just like Starbucks and Costa, but this one has such a cosy environment that you would love to escape from the cold winter days with a cup of hot chocolate or a fancy latte. They offer different drinks depending on the season, last time I was there I had an amazing tiramisu latte, which is a must have around Christmas time
3.Capello Lounge -Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Walls all covered with paintings, dim lights, warm and cosy environment. I must warn you that there is nothing minimalist in this place, but if you are looking for a place to go on a Sunday afternoon, this is the place to go. Unlike the first two places, Capello lounge offer everything from proper meals to coffee and even alcoholic drinks,
4.Ten Green Bottles -Newcastle-Under-Lyme
Ten Green Bottles is another place in Newcastle under lyme where it is more of a bar than a coffee shop, but if you go there for a coffee they got you covered. You can also have a glass of wine or a pint of beer during the day. You get lots of daylight in this place with a design that feels natural and nothing over the top, but aesthetic. Again a great place to go on a weekday for a coffee to chill and have a bit of chat with a few friends.
5. KPA -Keele University
Keele Postgraduate Association, is the student union of postgraduate students of keele and they have a place in the campus where they are open day and night. Like me if you don't like being in a club environment, this is the place to go for a night out. Despite being an undergraduate, they don't seem to mind us being there, so if you are looking for a place to chill with a few friends over a glass of wine, KPA is the place to go. They also serve proper meals during the day.
